What can I say about Fudge!! He is our first Shetland and I instantly fell in love with him when I went to meet him. 

I met him when he was 4 months old and then his breeder brought him to us when he was 6 months old. He stayed in our stable when he first arrived and I stayed with him all day while he got used to me. 

It took him 3 days to settle in and we had a small paddock seperated from the other horses so he could get used to them but to my amazement he soon found his way out and was running with Razzle and Queenie, let’s just say I wasn’t expecting it but he was loving it and latched on to Queenie, that was until Harry arrived 2 weeks later and then they both became the best of friends, I think it was because although there was a big difference in size they were both babies, and although now you will often see Fudge and Toffee together in the field when Harry wants to play he will go looking for Fudge which is really sweet. 

Fudge is the perfect companion pony to the other horses and fits in the with his herd perfectly. He often enjoys a walk around our village and we always get so many compliments about how cute he is and that he’s no bigger than a big dog which always makes us smile.

Fudge has competed in a fancy dress competition at our local show and we dressed him up as a pirate, it was such a fun experiance and we will be competing again next summer so if you have any ideas let me know!!
