As you may have worked out by now horses are my world, I live and breath them every day. I love everything about them, their patience, the way they understand you, the way the read your emotions, they are incredible creatures and they mean everything to me, I couldn’t imagine life without them.

Owning a horse is a big commitment and teaches you responsibility from a very early age, from the age of 10 I have cared for my horses with my parents, mucked out, fed and groom them and I can honestly say I don’t see any of it as a chore.
I also enjoy competing them, I can be very competitive and I love the buzz of going to a show, learning the course and then competing in a class, there is no better feeling than getting placed BUT it doesn’t always go to plan and at times Razzle can make me work for it, he has been known in the past to put the breaks on and send me over the fence while he hangs back and watches me fly over but it’s all part of learning and progressing so I try to not dwell on the negatives but just brush myself off, have a laugh about it and then ask my mom the most important thing did you get a picture of me falling?? As her nerves wouldn’t take it luckily there are photographers at the shows.

Razzle has also enjoyed fun shows doing barrel racing and fun rides and hacks out and I love how versatile and fun horse riding can be.
Like I have mentioned Queenie is also another one of our horses I compete, she feels lovely to jump and even though she is a trotter she was getting a lovely canter before we put her on rest but I am hoping she will come good again and next spring we will be back in the ring.
